WOD goes inside a leading manufacturer — visiting SEW Motor's Suzhou plant, in dialogue with smart-factory decision-makers
WOD Manufacturing Digitalization World is going inside China's leading manufacturers — into the demand side, face to face with decision-makers, making demand matching real. Built on WOD's industry resources, the platform runs a three-tier "industry–company–digitalization lead" precision network and an innovative B2B model of "demand first, precise matching," selecting quality exhibitors for closed-door roadshows inside leading manufacturers.
WOD, together with the CEIBS Alumni Industrial Internet Association, brought 50+ company founders and executives into SEW Motor's (Suzhou) production base. SEW — a century-old German leader in drive technology — is a globally recognized benchmark with mature flexible manufacturing, extreme plant management and self-developed smart logistics. The visit was hosted by association secretary Chen Li, with WOD founder Zhou Jianliang giving the closing summary.
01 Into the demand side — precise matching, face the top decision-makers
Zhou Jianliang stressed that SEW's century-long competitiveness lies not in equipment but in forward plant planning, quality mindset, modular production and self-controlled smart logistics. WOD has begun entering leading manufacturers — "into the demand side, face the top leaders" — not a one-off tour but a sustained system: bringing solutions to the buyer's decision layer so supply and demand meet in one room.
02 On-site visit — VP Li Jinchang decodes SEW's four differentiated cores
Led by SEW Suzhou executive VP Li Jinchang, the group toured the showroom, a long smart production line and automated warehouse — the full chain from parts machining to finished-goods storage. The four hidden advantages worth learning:
- Modular production: standard centralized prefab + modular quick assembly resolves the "mass efficiency vs. small-batch customization" conflict.
- Forward plant planning: the Suzhou site reserved space for AGV, automation and embodied-AI upgrades from day one — build once, iterate for a decade.
- Quality-first management: quality over speed — full-station anti-contamination, error-proofing and data traceability.
- Fully self-developed smart logistics: contactless-powered AGV (MOVITRANS, since 2004) runs dust- and oil-proof 24/7, enabling unmanned, precise material flow.
03 Deep-dive sharing — from smart logistics to industrial agents
SEW's Li Jianliang presented "SEW Intelligent Logistics Solutions," highlighting contactless power supply (45–55% energy savings), a full modular logistics matrix, and large benchmark deployments (SF Express Ezhou airport, Capital Airport, automotive). Ao Yuan Technology GM Wu Yunfeng warned against blind AI跟风, offering three landing principles: build the digital base first, pursue real business value, and take a lightweight modular route for SMEs.
04 Roundtable & gratitude award
A roundtable with Li Jinchang, Wu Yunfeng, Geely's Chen Haibo, Zoomlion's Zhang Zhehua and others exchanged on flexible manufacturing and lightweight industrial agents. The association awarded SEW's Li Jinchang a commemorative honor for openly sharing its production line.
05 From demand side to landed demand — WOD's full service loop
WOD is building an innovative B2B loop of "demand first, precise matching" — not just visiting factories, but entering the buyer, facing decision-makers and making real matches. Its preferred-exhibitor roadshow program selects quality suppliers for closed-door pitches inside leading manufacturers. The 2026 Shanghai show drew 200+ suppliers and 25,000+ visitors; the mini-program holds 50,000+ users and 5,000+ purchase demands.
December 3–6 Shenzhen co-locates with DMP Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo — 180,000㎡, 1,400+ exhibitors, 118,000+ visitors, five professional zones covering the full chain. Next stop: Xiamen's SigmaStar Technologies.
