Digital intelligence empowers manufacturing renewal — seizing the new global manufacturing track

On June 5, the 2026 WOD Manufacturing Digitalization Expo (Shanghai) and the WOD Manufacturing Digitalization Conference concluded successfully at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The expo was co-hosted by Digital Intelligence Paradigm Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and the Digital Economy Research Institute.

Anchored on the theme "Digital Intelligence Empowers · Manufacturing Renews — Seizing the New Global Manufacturing Track," the event aligned with the national "15th Five-Year Plan" manufacturing digitalization deployment and the cultivation of new-quality productivity. 200+ suppliers from over 10 countries and regions and 25,000+ professional visitors — decision-makers, digitalization leads, technical talent and procurement — took part.

Opening and conference dignitaries included Ma Lesheng (Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics), Song Zhiming (Vice Chairman, CFOCM), Lin Zhongqin (CAAM), Yang Huayong (Chair, International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance),郝玉成 (member, National Expert Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing), Tao Fei (Beihang), Peter Sachsenmeier (acatech), Xu Honghai (Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association), and executives from Siemens, Festo, Phoenix Contact, Fraunhofer, OCTAVE, EPLAN and more.

As the world's first professional platform covering the full scene of manufacturing digitalization, WOD staged seven high-value flagship programs: the Supplier Zone, the Manufacturing Digitalization Conference, the mDX Transformation Summit, the WOD Bundside Insight Salon, the mDX Entropy-Key Awards, the mDX Matchmaking Salon and the Finance & Capital Salon — together forming an integrated value matrix of "strategy + practice + business."

Opening: digital intelligence empowers, manufacturing renews

On June 3 the expo opened. Qiu Ping (Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics) noted it has become a key window for showcasing, exchanging and matching global manufacturing digitalization. Song Zhiming (CFOCM) stressed the expo's significance for mechanica-lindustry upgrading under "AI + Manufacturing." WOD founder Zhou Jianliang revealed that the WOD mini-program had already collected 7,000+ precise purchase intents worth nearly ¥3 billion. Hao Yucheng delivered the opening keynote, arguing that smart factories are the core path for China to upgrade from "world factory" to "global manufacturing innovation centre."
