[Official Announcement] Joining forces for smart-manufacturing transformation, building chemical new-quality productivity — WOD founder Zhou Jianliang elected chairman of the Chemical Digitalization Committee

On June 3, the founding conference and first council meeting of the Chemical Digitalization Committee of the China Chemical Information Association was held in Shanghai — a new industry-collaboration platform, with the first leadership elected, marking a solid step for China's chemical industry in systematically and organizationally advancing digital and intelligent transformation.

Hosted by the China Chemical Information Association and chaired by Wang Guanqun (RuiJin Holdings), the meeting was attended by Wang Wei (Chairman of the Association) and representatives of leading companies including Siemens, Aerosun, EPLAN, Rockwell Automation, CloudMinds and Shanghai Youyun Information.

Wang Wei read the approval document for the committee's establishment, noting it is a key move to serve national strategy and industry needs — driving the deep integration of new-generation IT (AI, robotics, digital twins) with the petrochemical industry.

In the election, WOD founder Zhou Jianliang was elected first-term chairman; Wang Guanqun, Li Dong, Wu Aiguo, Xiao Jiahong, Yang Lingyun, Chen Huijun, Hu Jianjun and Jia Zhijun were elected vice chairmen, and Hu Zhihong was elected chief of the office. The committee covers the full digitalization chain — chemical industry, industrial software, automation, inspection & certification, and data assets.

In his inaugural address, Zhou Jianliang said the committee's founding is timely and weighty. Guided by the purpose of "serving members, serving industry, serving society," it will focus on policy research and advocacy, technical-standard setting and promotion, innovative-technology application and solution landing, ecosystem building and resource matching, and professional talent development — turning top-level design into real practice.

The meeting also reviewed the committee's working rules (draft) and annual work plan; follow-up refinement took place in the first chairmen's council closed-door session.

The committee's founding is a new starting point for consensus and joint progress. As a key link connecting government, industry, academia, capital and application, it will pool wisdom and strength to solve transformation challenges, promote best practices and cultivate compound talent — providing solid digitalization support for China's journey from a "large chemical country" to a "strong chemical power."
